The Town Hall Tavern - Leeds

Traditional, locally sourced, British food

In January 2011 we launched our chef's Training Academy which runs courses monthly to ensure our standards and quality aspirations are more than achieved. Here the junior chefs learn the fundamentals of a successful kitchen and with a clear focus of giving the customer what they want.

The Town Hall Tavern's menu focuses on traditional, locally sourced, British food and the kitchen is run by award winning Head Chef Anton Scoones (Craft Guild of Chefs Mentor of the year 2008 and regional finalist in the Roux Scholarship, 2008 and 2010).

The Town Hall Tavern is a Leeds gastropub suitable for all occasions, whether it's a business lunch, or after work cocktails and food, and the menu reflects this offering a variety of platters, quick bites, speciality dishes and delicious desserts, using fresh meat, fish and vegetarian ingredients. Where possible all food is bought from local suppliers of quality ingredients so you can be confident you're eating the region's best.

Great food and flavour starts with the freshest and best seasonal ingredients. We always buy the most ethical and best quality produce we can find. We only work with suppliers who are passionate about their product as we are ours.

Our beef is sourced from farms in the Yorkshire Dales and it is dry-aged for a minimum of 30 days and all our head chefs have even been to visit them. Our pigs are happy and free range from local farms and you will only find the best free-range chicken and eggs on our menus.

Town Hall Tavern menus mix plenty of classic & comfort dishes with more contemporary ones. We never add unnecessary ingredients or flavours and our guests know it. Our honesty gives them confidence to try new things.
